Banners of Craft Lodges in Hertfordshire (Continued)

Kudu Lodge No: 8662

Several Members of the Venturer Lodge No. 7897 (Chingford, Essex) living in the south-west of Hertfordshire, wished to have a similar lodge in Hertfordshire, consisting mainly of brethren working with or for the scout movement. The lodge was consecrated on 21st January, 1976.

The lodge developed a number of distinct customs and traditions over the years, largely influenced by the scout connections, for example: the summer meeting was in scout uniform, and a Kudu horn, believed to have belonged to Lord Robert Baden-Powell, is blown at the festive Board. The lodge is a member of the Kindred Lodges Association, which comprises some twenty five similar Lodges and periodically acts as host to large meetings of that body.

The lodge does not have a banner.
