Old Elizabethans Lodge No: 7987
The Lodge was conceived in the ‘back parlour’ of the founding master’s house in Edgeware in 1963, fulfilling a desire amongst the old boys of Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Barnet, to establish a craft Lodge and perpetuate the friendships and associations created at school. A number of fathers became Founder Members and, until recently, the lodge membership was exclusively for the Old Boys of the School or direct relations. The lodge was consecrated on 30th October 1964.

The Lodge Crest and banner logo are derived from the school crest of the Queen Elizabeth School Barnet incorporating the white and red roses of the houses of York and Lancaster, together with the School motto: “God and My Right”.

The banner was dedicated on 14th March, 1977 having been presented by W.Bro G.L. Cheetham. The lodge merged with Totteridge Lodge No 6130 and later closed. The banner is stored at Halsey Hall Cheshunt.
