Old Verulamians Lodge No: 7988

The name of the lodge is derived from the roman town of Verulamium, the site of which lies within the boundaries of the modern day city of St. Albans. The lodge was consecrated, as is said in the preamble to its by-laws, "primarily for the association of the old boys of the County Grammar School, Brampton Road, and of governors and masters of the school" on 14th November 1964. 

 

The banner was obtained by member’s subscription and dedicated on 14th March 1970.  The emblem is that of the school, a leaping Hart over water together with the school motto  “Faire Mon Devoir” or “To do my duty”.
