Banners of Craft Lodges in Hertfordshire (Continued)

Penmans Green Lodge No: 8384

The lodge was consecrated on 11th October 1971. The name Penmans Green is taken from a small area between Chipperfield and Sarrat where drovers rested their herds on the way to market. The old lodge crest probably depicts this site.

The banner was designed by W.Bro A Sindall and dedicated at the Lodge meeting on 11th May 1983, having been presented by the Harmony and Compass Club – an organisation made up of members of USA lodges who were stationed or working in the UK. The banner of this closed Lodge is now used by Penmans Green Royal Arch Chapter, it depicts Penmans Green which is a small area between Chipperfield and Sarrat where drovers rested their herds on the way to market. The hart of Hertfordshire is shown standing and alert looking behind.
