Banners of Craft Lodges in Hertfordshire (Continued)
Friendship Lodge No: 8357
During a friendly chat at a local club, five Masons decided they would like to petition for a new Lodge. This resulted in their gathering sufficient support to make this possible. accordingly the lodge was consecrated on 31st March 1971.
Five of the original founders were from a Middlesex lodge called Amicita. This probably leads to the design of the banner crest which shows a pair of shaking hands as Amicita is loosely translated as meaning friendship. Above the hands is a curtained porchway. There are a number of other traditional masonic symbols such as the square pavement, and the square and compasses.

The banner was dedicated by VW Bro Guy Marsden Halsey, DPGM on 4th March, 1974.
