Banners of Craft Lodges in Hertfordshire (Continued)

Guy Marsden Halsey Lodge No: 9369

The lodge was consecrated at St. Albans School, on 29th May, 1990 under the sponsorship of Halsey Lodge No. 1479, to perpetuate the name of the Halsey family. The address to the brethren was delivered by RW Bro Guy M Halsey, Provincial Grand Master from 1974 to 1984, for the last time before his death some six months later. During the consecration ceremony, Bro Halsey presented to the lodge his personal standard, which incorporates the arms of the Halsey family, and it now occupies pride of place at all Lodge meetings.

The banner was designed by Bro. Colin Childs, and the motto ‘Nescit Vox Missa Revert’i literally means ‘The spoken word cannot be recalled’ or ‘My word is my bond’. The banner was dedicated 6th December 1993. It is now held in the Provincial Office awaiting erasure of the lodge at a future meeting of Grand Lodge.
