Several freemasons from the Elstree, Borehamwood and Radlett area, well known to each other, shared a desire to hold masonic meetings in their neighbourhood. W. Bro Howard Grant, W. Bro Barry Chippeck and W. Bro Jim Nixon were delighted to support their enthusiasm and petitioned the Province of Hertfordshire that the new lodge be formed and that its name be in the memory of VW Bro Donald Forrester, a prominent member of Provincial Grand Lodge who had recently passed to the Grand Lodge above. The lodge was consecrated on 30th May 1989.
The banner crest depicts a tree growing from the Volume of the Sacred Law. The banner was presented by Bro.Vijay Mandal and dedicated on 20th June 1991.
