Iceni Lodge No: 5975
The founders were members of lodges around Letchworth and masons who lived in the area and were not attached to any local lodge. The Roman Icknield Way runs through Letchworth, and the lodge was sponsored by the Icknield Lodge. The lodge was consecrated on 25th October, 1944.
The banner was presented by W.Bro.George Tomlin and dedicated on 29th September 1965 being the Lodge’s 21st Anniversary. W.Bro.Tomlin, the last surviving founder very proudly processed the banner into the lodge at the 50th jubilee meeting. The centre of the banner depicts the English Queen Boadicea (or Boudicca) of the Iceni tribe riding in her chariot.
