Joseph Moffett Lodge No: 8086

The lodge was consecrated on 15th April 1966. The banner was presented by the members and was made by Miss Helen Rolinson.  It was dedicated 22nd April 1987.  The original emblem was designed by Bro. Peter Brown.  It portrays the cross of St Andrew above a stained glass window impressed with a Hart.  The cross adorned R.W.Bro. Joseph Moffett’s own banner, he being a minister of the Church of Scotland, and the window represented his church in Covent Garden, whilst the Hart is symbolic of Hertfordshire.  The two pair of compasses form the letter ‘M’ for Moffett.

This lodge is now closed and the banner is stored at Fleet House.
