Banners of Craft Lodges in Hertfordshire (Continued)

Michael Batham Jones Lodge No: 9675

This eponymous lodge takes its name from a Past Provincial Grand Master of Hertfordshire (1992-2003). It was consecrated on 2nd September 1998 and being a "daylight" lodge, the banner has the blazing sun behind the Hertfordshire Hart in a square with a scroll at the bottom with the motto ‘Ridens in Arduis’  meaning ‘Smiling through adversity". This motto was chosen by Michael Batham-Jones

The banner was dedicated on the 20th April 1999 by the Provincial Grand Master, having been designed by W.Bro. Colin Childs PJGD, and donated by W.Bro. Andrew Manzie PJGD. It is believed it was made in Pakistan.
